At the end of 2008, I toyed with the idea of creating a system for exploring ideas, giving myself the freedom to experiment with different approaches, motifs, and concepts without taking everything I produced too seriously.
I came up with the idea of creating a piece of work every day in 2009. In retrospect, this project became a diary; it evokes memories of where I was, who I was with and what was happening at the time.
It was fun most of the time, but on some days, the last thing I wanted to do was create that day’s piece, so the project became both an artistic exploration and an exercise in discipline.
